Application
Individual companies or in consortiums, owning the application as system integrator and/or end user, are eligible to participate. Universities and Research Centres may only apply if they are associated with an industrial end-user. The candidate application may be in service/testing in any country.
Applications in any sector are allowed, by way of example: Handling, robot logistics, mobile manipulation, inspection and testing, assembly, robot machining, robotics for additive manufacturing, human-robot collaboration, mixed human-robot production lines, intuitive interaction, robots and digital innovation, entertainment, healthcare and rehabilitation, robotics for catering, robotics applications in the home.
Applications by completing the form with description + video will close on 31st January 2024.
Program
Three special mentions
ORIZZONTI Section
A special mention reserved for prototypes and experimental innovations in robotics, new devices or new technologies with high potential for future applications or new areas of robotics.
FOOD Section
A special mention dedicated to technological innovation in the agri-food sector, with innovative elements in terms of technology, application and/or business model.
HEALTH Section
A special mention dedicated to technological innovation in the medicine, health and wellness sector, with innovative elements in terms of technology, application and/or business model.
Selection
The applications are evaluated by the Technical Scientific Committee (STC) appointed by the automazionenews.it platform and the magazines Automazione Integrata and Automazione Industriale published by Tecniche Nuove Media. The criteria for the selection of the finalist applications are:
- Excellence: elements of innovation (technology, business model, partnership model), evidence of surpassing the state of the art, flexibility and adaptability of the solution, robustness to failures and unforeseen events, consistency with the models and potential of digitisation, where relevant.
- Impact: competitiveness gained through the application, benefit in terms of productivity or improved conditions of use, trend-setting effect on the relevant sector, potential creation of a new technological standard, creation of new strategic directions for adjacent sectors and others.
Applicants should highlight their merits with quantitative and measurable indicators.
Awards for the winners
The winner will be recognised
- A commemorative plaque of the Solution Award 2024;
- Visibility through the automazionenews.it platform and the Automazione Integrata magazine with an interview in the first issue available after the award has been presented;
- Relaunch of the interview in the automazionenews.it newsletter;
- Presentation moment (about 15 minutes) on the MECSPE Arena stage to present the winning application;
- Interview on MECSPE web TV following the award ceremony.
To the shortlisted candidates but not winners:
- A certificate of participation in the Solution Award 2024;
- Visibility through the platform automazionenews.it and the magazine Automazione Integrata.
Special prize for the ORIZZONTI Section
The application receiving the ORIZZONTI special mention will be awarded a 12 m2 stand (start formula) in the Automation and Robotics area at MECSPE 2025 worth € 4,276.00 + VAT.
Confidentiality
The confidentiality of the material and information provided is guaranteed by the CTS throughout the selection phase and after the Award Event.
The Winner will have the opportunity to present the application during the Award Event. It is the candidate’s right to indicate or attach a public version of the video to be used at the Event and in venues promoting the Event (magazine website, news, social posts, etc).
