DLyte eBlast is a new piece of equipment that propels solid-electrolyte particles using a liquid moderator to improve the surface quality of metal parts through electro-blasting technology. Electro-blasting is an electrochemical metal surface finishing process specifically designed to achieve a mirror finish on metal parts with complex geometries. This system is also suitable for large or heavy parts that are difficult to polish by immersion or that require localized surface finishing, such as welded areas.

This innovative approach to dry electropolishing allows for focused surface treatment, as the media is directed toward a specific area of the part. DLyte eBlast overcomes the size and weight limitations found in abrasive and immersion-based electropolishing systems, enabling localized treatment without requiring movement of the piece.

The main benefits of the process include preservation of geometry, prevention of edge rounding, localized and selective surface finishing, the ability to process large and heavy parts, as well as blind holes, slots, occluded areas, and inner channels, all while achieving a mirror-like finish.
